"Lets Get Started" In Rhythm & Dance
Track #1: Dance Movement Basics
an "entry level" dance class for everyone

Style of Style: general rhythm and movement, relevant to a variety of styles of American Social Dance Including Swing & Lindy Hop.

Target Group: For "novice", & "experienced dancers" alike.
All ages and ability levels are welcome in this class.

Requirements: enthusiasm, a desire to learn new things and a willingness to help others learn.

We begin by teaching you a little about basic music structure. Then we teach you to recognize and move to, the basic beat in a range of music typically associated with Swing/Jitterbug  & Lindy Hop ––Big Band Music; Jazz Swing, Dixie Land/New Orleans Jazz; Rock & Roll, Rhythm and Blues, Oldies Rock & Roll, Latin, and Country.

We will introduce you to a variety of "entry level" steps useful for a variety of forms of social dancing with an emphasis on preparing you for Swing (aka Jitterbug) & Lindy Hop.

You will find the skills you learn here to be very helpful should you decide to go on to more advanced classes in Swing & Lindy Hop as well as being applicable to many other forms of American social dancing (think weddings, anniversary parties, and other social dance occasions).

Whether you're someone who thinks they can’t dance, or someone who already knows they can, this class will help you find your rhythm and balance.
